Open Novadesko Web

Installation

macOS

Open the .dmg file, drag Novadesko into Applications and launch it. The app is signed and notarized by Apple: no security warning.

.deb package

Double-click the .deb (or sudo apt install ./novadesko_*.deb). Novadesko appears in your applications menu.

.tar.gz archive

Extract the archive, then run bash install.sh to install into /opt/novadesko, or launch ./novadesko_glass directly.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate account?

No: the desktop app uses the same account as the web and mobile apps. Sign in with your Novadesko e-mail and password.

Are updates automatic?

Not yet: come back to this page to download the latest version. The version number is shown on each card.

Does my data stay in sync?

Yes, everything goes through your online Novadesko file: what you do on Mac or Linux is immediately visible on the web and on mobile.

Is the app safe?

Mac builds are signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple. Linux packages ship with their SHA-256 checksum.
