Novadesko and ChatGPT: your invoices take shape in the chat
Between two appointments you ask ChatGPT who still owes you money, and it answers with your real figures. Novadesko's official MCP connector plugs into ChatGPT's developer mode: overdue invoices, quotes, VAT, it all runs through the conversation. Your password stays with you, and nothing is saved without a preview you approve.
On chatgpt.com, enable Developer mode under Settings, Apps and connectors, Advanced settings. Then create a connector named Novadesko with the URL https://mcp.novadesko.com using OAuth, leaving Client ID and secret empty, and authorise your company. In a conversation, the + then More menu reveals Novadesko.

Connect ChatGPT in five steps
Everything happens on chatgpt.com, first in the settings and then in a conversation.
Step 1
Enable Developer mode
On chatgpt.com, open Settings, then Apps and connectors, then Advanced settings, and switch on Developer mode.
Step 2
Create the connector
Click Create, name the connector Novadesko and paste the MCP connector URL: https://mcp.novadesko.com.
Step 3
Set the authentication
Pick OAuth and leave Client ID and secret empty: registration happens automatically. Tick the confirmation box, then confirm with Create.
Step 4
Authorise access
A Novadesko page opens in your browser. Pick your company, tick the rights you want to grant, then press Authorise.

Use it in a conversation
In a conversation, click +, then More, and pick Novadesko. Ask your first question about your figures.
ChatGPT's menu names shift from one version to the next. If a label looks different on your side, look for Developer mode among the advanced settings of apps and connectors.

What ChatGPT can do with your account
On the reading side, ChatGPT answers about the revenue of a period with a comparison, your best customers and products, unpaid invoices, reminders, SMS credits, the Peppol status, the sync with your accounting package (WinAuditor, WinBooks Connect, Horus and others) and your bank, and it runs management analyses: VAT, purchases, fixed costs, projections, stock. It also searches and reads your customers, suppliers, documents and products.
On the preparation side, it drafts a customer or supplier record, a quote, an invoice, a purchase order, a receipt, a proforma, a credit note, the conversion of a document, a received payment, general terms, the import of a purchase invoice it has read itself, a Peppol request to the team, a support ticket, an email, or a reminder by email or SMS.
These tools are not exclusive to ChatGPT: the same ones power Nova AI, the assistant built into Novadesko, and the Claude and Gemini connectors.
One company, chosen rights, never a password
At the authorisation step, a Novadesko page opens in your browser. There you designate a single company and tick the rights ChatGPT will receive, nothing more. Your password never leaves Novadesko: the connection rests on OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and the client registers automatically, which is why the Client ID and secret fields stay empty.

The double confirmation, specific to ChatGPT
In developer mode, ChatGPT first asks for your approval in the conversation before launching any action on a connector. That is its own brake, and it works in your favour: nothing ever heads towards Novadesko by surprise.
Then comes the Novadesko brake. Every creation, change or sending first produces a preview, often a PDF, valid for thirty minutes. You check it, you approve it, and a single-use confirmation token carries out the action. The legal invoice number is only assigned at that moment. Two locks beat one when your official documents are at stake.
What ChatGPT never does
Send an invoice through Peppol: Peppol sending remains a manual step inside Novadesko.
Access another company than the one authorised, or reach the admin area and your files.
Delete your account.
Save or send anything without your explicit confirmation.
Activity log, revocation and privacy
Every connection has its own activity log, visible in Novadesko under Integrations. If something feels off, the Revoke button cuts access on the spot.
Novadesko does not store your conversations: it only receives the tool requests ChatGPT sends over. The thread of the conversation stays with OpenAI, under its own terms.

What about the subscription?
Today the connection requires no particular plan and no surcharge. ChatGPT simply follows the rules of your Novadesko plan: if a feature is not included, it says so politely and names the smallest plan that contains it, price included. The full plan overview lives on the pricing page.
The subscription to ChatGPT itself is paid to OpenAI, not to Novadesko.
I cannot find Developer mode in ChatGPT, what now?
It sits on chatgpt.com under Settings, Apps and connectors, Advanced settings. ChatGPT's menu names vary between versions: if a label looks different on your side, search the advanced settings of the connectors. If it does not appear at all, your version of ChatGPT may not offer it yet.
Why does ChatGPT ask for my approval twice?
Because there are two brakes. ChatGPT asks for its own approval before launching an action on a connector, then Novadesko produces a preview valid for thirty minutes that you confirm. Nothing is saved until you open that second lock.
Can ChatGPT send an invoice on its own?
No. It prepares the invoice and Novadesko shows you a preview. The legal number is only assigned at your confirmation, and sending through Peppol remains a manual step inside Novadesko.
Do I have to give ChatGPT my Novadesko password?
Never. The connection uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE: a Novadesko page opens, you pick the company and the rights, then you authorise. Access can be revoked at any time from Novadesko, under Integrations.
Does connecting ChatGPT to Novadesko cost anything?
